Ana Picanço is conducting a Ph.D in Interdisciplinary Landscape Management by University of Azores starting in 2012 within the Island Biodiversity, Biogeography and Conservation of cE3c. She is conducting the project Dynamics of plant-insect pollinator interaction networks in Azores: Evaluation of an ecosystem service, under the supervision of Paulo A. V. Borges of Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c) and Platform for Enhancing Ecological Research & Sustainability (PEERS).
Dynamics of plant-insect pollinator interaction networks in Azores: Evaluation of an ecosystem service Ph.D. project aims are: i) to analyze the variation in the structure and dynamics of pollination interaction networks on land-uses varying in disturbance levels, area and habitats fragmentation, and ii) to quantify these general relationships and identify specific pollinator functional groups, such as indigenous or exotic specialists or super-generalists.
